Hoek Pilot Classic 37

This superlative 37-feet customized weekender combines medium displacement with a sleek hull, plumb bow, classic sheer lines, a stern overhang and open transom reminiscent of the pilot cutters of the early 1900s. The design was nominated for the Classic Boat Awards 2014 in the Spirit of Tradition Class under 40-feet. Kept in exceptionally good condition by its current owner, PELAGIC is a real head-turner.

About Sun Odyssey 42.2

Ashanti is a pure cruising boat aimed at providing comfort.

The hull form is moderate with plenty of beam carried into the stern. The boat is actually on the fat side, but that’s what you would expect on a design that is being driven by interior requirements. The entry of the Jeanneau 42 is quite sharp, and the run is flattened in section with a nice hard turn to the bilge. It’s no racing hull, but it’s not a tubby pig either.

It’s a good interior layout. The saloon is very spacious, and the galley lies along the port side. The interior finishing details are as well-executed.

Overall she is a pretty boat that offers a well-balanced approach to the family cruising yacht.

The Boater’s notes

With its 3 cabins, genset and aircon, GPS, radar and superb performance, this Salpa speedboat (the only 38.5  in Hong Kong) is a must-see. Antifouling in May 2020. Mooring in Sai Kung transferable at very attractive price.

Layout

The lower deck comprises one master bedroom with en suite bathroom, three guest cabins and one guest bathroom. The main deck is occupied by a large saloon and a concealed laundry room.
