Solar installation

Installed in 2019, the solar/battery system is large enough to power all the ship’s loads, in fair weather, in complete autonomy.

  • 18 solar panels (5.8 kW)
  • 6 x 5 kW Lithium ion battery bank (total 30 kW)
  • 2 x 8 kW inverter/chargers

The inverter/chargers manage the distribution of power on the boat. A phone application allows the owner to follow the performance of the system.

In its current location, the boat is also connected to an external generator for 240 V top up when required.

Mooring

The vessel is currently moored in the Kwun Tong Typhoon Shelter, with access to water and electricity.
